Flowering and Care
Lucinda’s Everlastings produce bright, sturdy blooms that open in full sun and close at night or during overcast and rainy conditions. Stems are strong but may droop just before flowering, and the flowers make excellent cut or dried arrangements, lasting at least a month in a vase. Once established, the plants require very little maintenance, tolerate poor soil, drought, and frost, and are excellent for attracting bees and other pollinators. After flowering, allow the plants to self-seed to ensure a colourful display the following season.
Perfect For Gardens
They’re perfect for native gardens, mass plantings, arid environments, garden beds, driveways, rockeries, or as a vibrant pot plant. With their fast growth, long-lasting blooms, and ability to self-seed, Lucinda’s Everlastings are a reliable, beautiful choice for gardeners of all skill levels.
Getting Started with Your Everlastings
Grow a vibrant display of everlasting daisies with a little planning and care. Follow these simple steps for choosing the right location, sowing your seeds, and looking after your plants to enjoy a long-lasting, colourful garden.
Before You Sow
Choose a sunny spot in your garden, or place pots where they’ll get plenty of sunlight.
Choose a well drained location. Everlasting plants can tolerate a degree of intermittent waterlogging, however it is important to ensure good drainage in the stages of germination and establishment.
If planting in pots, fill with a good quality potting mix.
Remove all weeds and clear the area.
Loosen the soil if it’s compacted to help roots grow easily.
Make sure the soil is moist before sowing.
Sow at a time suited to your local climate. See our sowing table below.
Sowing Your Seeds
Scatter seeds directly onto the soil surface at a rate of 1 gram per 1 square metre.
Gently rake or pat down the soil so seeds are just slightly covered.
Water lightly after sowing.
Protect seedlings from pets, pests (especially snails), and harsh weather until well established.
Best Months to Sow
Care Tips
Germination usually takes 2–14 days, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
Keep an eye out for weeds and remove them as needed.
If growing in pots, water regularly to prevent them drying out.
At around 6 weeks, you can lightly fertilise with a general-purpose fertiliser (optional).
To extend your flowering period, you can stagger your planting. Sprinkle more seeds over existing everlastings once they’ve germinated.
Avoid overwatering, this can cause stems to rot and collapse.
Don’t sow too thickly, overcrowded plants may grow spindly and weak.
Avoid sowing too early in the season, plants may grow too tall and fall over before flowering.
Everlastings will typically flower within 80–90 days after sowing.
Once flowering has finished, remove the dead stalks and wait for the next season’s self-seeded seedlings to emerge.

I dropped the packet of seeds, hand smeared them around covered with pea straw to keep the birds off. And now get daily complements from people passing by 🙂

Just so lovely when all are in flower, I get in love with them, I’d like them to blow seeds back in and around our 5 acres where they are all planted this year showing that pop of color (gorgeous) next year. This single white daisy was my largest.

Love my everlasting journey from scattering the seeds, watching them grow, the excitement seeing the buds appear, then turning into pretty flowers that wake up on the morning with you and fall asleep at night and bring so much bright happy colour to your garden.

Have purchased over several years and product and customer service never disappoint. Forgot to send my order one year and when contacted they sent me twice the amount to make up for that.

I recently ordered everlasting seeds to plant in my garden in remembrance of my fur baby Daisy. Through all the communication I had with Jen, she was incredibly kind and provided wonderful service. I look forward to growing my Daisy’s and will definitely be shopping with Lucinda’s Everlastings again.

I love these flowers. I am in QLD I dropped the seeds last year and I had flowers in abundance. I saved seeds, gave some to friends as presents and I have plenty left and plants are already popping up again already this Autumn. So worth getting a bag, sow and reap your rewards 😁👏🏻🌱🌸

Each year I plant some Lucinda's Everlastings in the lane way behind my house in South Perth. Amazing results every time. I finally used up my packet last year (they were viable for several years), so have once again ordered more and will plant again soon.

Simply a very helpful crew and the product is a great value easy care (sort of, once you get the weeds sorted out) but long staying flowers and plenty of colour for the spring and seed if you want to collect it, simply just great value....
